Ben Kuns has been a licensed massage therapist since 2007 and has a great passion for corrective bodywork, education and helping people to see their bodies function well all the way through life.
He specializes in corrective neuromuscular therapy, a technique that aims to understand how structural misalignment and repetitive stress on your body cause it to wear down. At the beginning of each session Ben will check in to see how your body is presenting that day and will begin with hands on assessment, looking for restriction and imbalance that are indicators of the functional compensation and stress that have been developing in your body. A 60 minute session will focus on deep loosening and specific corrective techniques in a full body manner starting with the spine and trunk, then to the rib cage and pelvis, then the major joints and extremities. Ben will communicate closely with you to ensure that each session is addressing your specific concerns as well as comprehensively moving your body out of compensation and imbalance into patterns of greater balance, function and lasting integrity. Ben’s corrective technique has been shown to effectively eliminate pain patterns and establish patterns of longevity for patients who participate in regular care. All sessions are fully clothed.
Ben is a positive, enthusiastic and proficient practitioner with a great ability for communication and education. He loves the outdoors, music and food.
